The Birthday Cake flight to Chevak
We love the Discovery Channel series Flying Wild Alaska. And it just gets better. In the last episode, one of the flights followed was a trip to Chevak – home of one of the Alaska Build A Plane projects.
In the load of supplies being flown into Chevak, there is a store-bought birthday cake. It doesn’t end well for the cake, unfortunately. It is fairly turbulent enroute, and the cake isn’t well secured. Fortunately, the recipient is very understanding – these things happen.
While they didn’t mention Build A Plane, it was interesting to see shots of Chevak, and see it on the map relative to other villages in the north west.
