OER recommendations

Creating, sharing and using Open Educational Resources (OER) is a great idea. There are plenty of people creating and sharing, but until now, it has been difficult to find and use all this wonderful content that is available.

Folksemantic offers a mechanism for indexing OERs, accepting and collecting recommendations and providing related links to resources. I am hopeful that Folksemantic can live up to its promise.

As a trial, I submitted the main page of the Technology Supported Learning workshop. It says if a resource is not in OER Recommender’s index, it generates recommendations by downloading the resource and analyzing its content. The OER recommender came back with a content box of links. These are the recommendations returned:
